This beer is a hybrid between a Red Ale and a Wit Bier and packed with American Hops. The aroma has some tropical fruits, oranges, wheat, caramel and yeast. The flavor is moderately sweet and picks up some spices such as cinnamon and cardamom. You can also taste some orange peels and other citrus fruits. It’s a well-balanced beer that is medium bitter and ends with a bit of dryness.

  • Mikkeller, Denmark

Santa’s Little Helper started as a classic Belgian ale, but a mischievous "drillenisse" — the prankster elf of Danish folklore — had other plans. Just as we thought we’d brewed a traditional batch, our cheeky helper snuck in some holiday magic, adding layers of caramel, roasted malt, and spices to create something truly special. Now, this dark brown, potent Belgian strong ale carries rich notes of dried fruit, brown sugar, and licorice, rounded off by hints of orange peel and winter spices. Thanks to our playful elf, each sip is filled with warmth, sweetness, and a little twist, finishing dry with a perfectly balanced hop profile. Cheers to holiday surprises!

St.Bernardus Christmas Ale is, as its name implies, a typical winter beer. This dark beer is filled with winter cheer and feels like Christmas in a bottle: warm, cosy, and really inviting to enjoy together with friends or family. St.Bernardus Christmas Ale takes on a splendid dark-brown colour that is topped off with a cream-coloured layer of froth. It’s an intensely dark beer with a full, yet slightly fruity flavour, overflowing with the tastes of winter and zesty seasonal aromas. Aniseed notes are complemented by hints of creamy caramel and fire-roasted chestnuts. This zestiness shows no signes of abating, pushing through to a magnificent finish of dried fruits and chocolate.

We have brewed a dark well hopped ale that we think respond well to the hearty and often rich Christmas foods. The combination of roasted flavors, dark chocolate and coffee meets cirtus flavors and aromas from the hops. This beer was awarded best draft beer in the category Ale up to 5.9% at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 2006 and bronze in 2008 and was named best Swedish bottled beer in 2008 and won the Swedish Ölfrämjandets Christmas beer testing in 2008, 2009 and 2010. 2009 it got the gold medal again at the Stockholm Beer Festival. Winter Ale was named the best Christmas beer at Örebro Beer & Whiskey festival 2009 . Malts: Pale ale malt, pale caramel malt, dark caramel malt, melanoidin malt and choclate malt. Hops: Centennial, Chinook och Cascade Food pairings Works particularly well with typical Swedish Christmas smorgasbord. Pickled herring, cured salmon and "Janssons Temptation" (potato, onion and pickled anchovies baked in cream). Meatballs, spareribs and sausages are also a staple at the Christmas table. Another great pairing would be port wine braised shoulder of lamb with garlic and herbs served with gnocchi.

  • Shepherd Neame, England

Spitfire is one of the UK’s best-loved beers with an international reputation as a Great British Classic. Since its inception as a one-off brew back in 1990, Spitfire has enjoyed phenomenal success, earning a Royal Warrant and protected status as a Kentish Ale. A true classic, Spitfire Amber (draught: 4.2% ABV; bottle/can/mini keg: 4.5% ABV) is the head of the Spitfire family and a true taste of Kent. It was first brewed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, played out in the skies above Kentish soil. It is brewed using 100% Kentish hops, the finest malt and water drawn from a well deep beneath Shepherd Neame’s Faversham brewery. Spitfire Amber combines the pick of Kentish hops (Target, Challenger, East Kent Goldings, First Gold) to layer bitter orange marmalade flavour on top of sweet biscuits and caramel malts for a peppery dry finish. While the great taste has remained constant throughout its history, the Spitfire family has grown to include golden ale and lager, each imbued with the distinctive Spitfire spirit. Today Spitfire has a dynamic new look reflecting the nature of the iconic plane that inspired its creation and befitting its status as an ale of substance and character.
