West Coast IPA

- Stigbergets Bryggeri, Sweden
What does it even mean? It’s not what you think. Well maybe I don’t know what you think. But if you have an opinion on what a West Coast should be, throw that away just for now. This is a Scandinavian West Coast. Which we can assure you is very different from the Scandinavian East Coast. More rocks, people are friendlier, but let’s not get bogged down in that. What you need to know though. It’s our flagship NEIPA. Extra pale base, oats, wheat, generous dry hop of Citra, Mosaic and a charming local seagull on the can. Affectionately known as måse (seagull) in Gothenburg, West Coast is light in colour, full bodied, low bitterness and brimming with tropical fruit flavours.

Another fruit for fruit eaters. We bring you another sour, which combines the pleasant tropical taste of mango and the familiar taste of strawberries. This sour is more subtle on the sour side, but the fruitiness will definitely win you over, because we didn't spare any fruit for this.
Pilsner Urquell Nefiltrovaný / Unfiltered
- Pilsner - Czech
- 4.4%
- Plzeňský Prazdroj, Czech Republic
Unfiltered, unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell is available at our brewery and very select pubs and Tankovna bars. In every sip of Pilsner Urquell you’ll notice a refreshing crispness from natural carbonation, then subtle caramel tones and a clean finish with a pleasing hoppy bitterness. Pilsner Urquell’s signature flavour balances sweetness from the triple-decocted malt, and bitterness from our Saaz hops. The thick head of dense wet foam adds smoothness and seals in flavour and aroma. In 1842, at our brewery in Plzeň, brewer Josef Groll introduced the world to the first golden ‘pilsner’ lager, and changed beer forever. His invention soon became the most popular style of beer on the planet. We’ve brewed Pilsner Urquell in the same brewery using the same recipe for over 175 years. Today, we still insist on using traditional methods, like triple decoction and parallel brewing in wooden lagering barrels. It takes longer but means we never compromise on our taste.

Best
- Bitter - Best

- Saltaire Brewery, England
At Saltaire we're always looking for ways to refresh our core range of cask beers and one style that's been missing, until now, was a traditional Best Bitter. Our core bitter, Titus, is very popular, but at 3.9% it isn’t really a ‘Best’ Bitter which usually has a higher in ABV with a fuller body and more flavour. We also wanted to use all British malt and hops in the recipe. Right now we’re hearing plenty of noise from the market that there just aren’t enough breweries making a Best Bitter. After years of exciting and progressive beer development maybe people are starting to hanker after something a bit more traditional? US brewers are even starting to look at traditional British styles such as bitter and mild to add to their predominantly IPA and pale offerings. We asked Ben, one of our brewers, to develop a recipe and the result is Saltaire Best, Ben's first commercially released beer recipe! For this beer we wanted to stay traditional with no ‘modern twists’ or special ingredients, just a straight forward, authentic beer, that’s satisfying and well balanced. We used wheat malt for head retention, crystal malt for colour, mouthfeel and sweetness, and roasted barley for colour and to bring a spicy, satisfying depth of flavour. A blend of British hops – Admiral, Challenger and Goldings come together to complement the malt flavours with notes of orange and subtle sweet spiciness.

It was first brewed by the monks of Chimay at Scourmont Abbey in 1966. Above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma.

- Shepherd Neame, England
Spitfire is one of the UK’s best-loved beers with an international reputation as a Great British Classic. Since its inception as a one-off brew back in 1990, Spitfire has enjoyed phenomenal success, earning a Royal Warrant and protected status as a Kentish Ale. A true classic, Spitfire Amber (draught: 4.2% ABV; bottle/can/mini keg: 4.5% ABV) is the head of the Spitfire family and a true taste of Kent. It was first brewed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, played out in the skies above Kentish soil. It is brewed using 100% Kentish hops, the finest malt and water drawn from a well deep beneath Shepherd Neame’s Faversham brewery. Spitfire Amber combines the pick of Kentish hops (Target, Challenger, East Kent Goldings, First Gold) to layer bitter orange marmalade flavour on top of sweet biscuits and caramel malts for a peppery dry finish. While the great taste has remained constant throughout its history, the Spitfire family has grown to include golden ale and lager, each imbued with the distinctive Spitfire spirit. Today Spitfire has a dynamic new look reflecting the nature of the iconic plane that inspired its creation and befitting its status as an ale of substance and character.
