We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory–maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it’s made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beverage will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make things taste better. Perhaps you’re mouthing your words as you read this.

A bright India Pale Ale with low bitterness and great flavors of pineapple and stone fruit. Large amounts of hops such as Chinook, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Citra and Simcoe create a unique tropical taste and aroma in the beer. In addition to pilsner malt there is oat flakes, unmalted wheat and wheat malt. This creates a soft and juicy unfiltered beer. The background to this beer is the new kind of India Pale Ale, New England IPA, which emerged in the eastern US lately. A long time ago, 1638, Swedes emigrated to America and formed a Swedish colony – New Sweden, on the East Coast that lasted for a few decades, which has inspired us to the name of this beer. Barona have their brewery on the border to the Spanish border, straight into the country from Lisbon. During our recent trip to Portugal we decided to brew a double collab. In Portugal we brewed a coffee Brown Ale, a long dream of ours while we in Sweden wanted to brew something we havent done yet - a bold Double IPA. We aimed to make it a bit dryer for maximum drinkability and to let the bitterness work its magic alongside a robust malt base. For hops we played around with Citra, Taiheke, Nelson Sauvin, Nelson Sauvin Cryo and Riwaka. Together they will offer a hop cocktail full of citrus, resin and pine complemented with gentle fruity grape notes.

Named Cinq Cents in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, this beer, with its typical golden color, slightly hazy appearance and fine head, is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. It was first brewed by the monks of Chimay at Scourmont Abbey in 1966. Above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma.

Spitfire is one of the UK’s best-loved beers with an international reputation as a Great British Classic. Since its inception as a one-off brew back in 1990, Spitfire has enjoyed phenomenal success, earning a Royal Warrant and protected status as a Kentish Ale. A true classic, Spitfire Amber (draught: 4.2% ABV; bottle/can/mini keg: 4.5% ABV) is the head of the Spitfire family and a true taste of Kent. It was first brewed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, played out in the skies above Kentish soil. It is brewed using 100% Kentish hops, the finest malt and water drawn from a well deep beneath Shepherd Neame’s Faversham brewery.
